OK, done with the 1st round. 9 of 14 cochins (9 went into lockdown) and 3 of 10 silkies (5 went into lock down). The silkers seemed to have a tougher time than the cochins. The cochins pipped, zipped and hatched without any messing around. Although I do have cochin 'Twinkles' with the toe problem; malpositined in the egg because the cord was wrapped around the ankle and the entire leg was twisted around. It's wearing a boot right now and getting around just fine. It was getting around fine before the boot too. The leg looks good but the foot is weird. Good thing they have feathered feet and are big fluff balls...might not ever notice the funky foot.
And those silkies....OMG, cuteness!
Next batch due this Saturday...thank you post office for complicating my life! (as if I can't do that well enough myself!)
