November hatched Egg-a-long

Hm, could be? But I believe it's ducks that lay around 18-20 weeks of age. Some chicken breeds like the leghorn or sex links can lay as early as 20 weeks old.

I've got two accidental cockerels and my bantams are in with my November chicks at the moment since they don't do well in the winter and I don't heat my coops. So my bantams are in with my 60 chicks until it starts to get warmer

I see a bantam cockerel. But there’s like 3 others that look like pullets who look pretty developed and could be close.

Hi all! Just checking in. We’re approaching week 17 here. Some of my girls are really developing their combs and wattles. Literally in the last week. No one is bright red so I think we still have a couple weeks before we see any squatting. Sharing pics for fun! How’s everyone else doing?

Eek! The polish top knot is so cute! The barnyard mix is maturing well! Yours will probably lay before any of my girls do.

Wow!! That’s a ton of space!!! I wish. We’re on about 3/4 of an acre. Lol. I am impressed with your setup. I’d love pics!

I thought pullets laid around 20 weeks? Is it more towards 26 weeks because we’re in winter months?

I found thday most of my chickens started laying around 6 months. Even my leghorn (which is supposed to be an early layer) was 24 weeks before she laid.

Whoa!!! 24 weeks?!?! I’ll be so sad if I have to wait 7 more weeks for eggs. I’m hoping the BCM or leghorn is sooner. Bah!

18 weeks today!!! AND ONE OF THEM SQUATTED! I about did a backflip. My friend came over and was going to pet one and she grabbed onto her saddle area and she squatted down and braced herself. I was so shocked! So I am hoping someone drops an egg in the next week. EEK! How is everyone else doing? Any eggs? Any signs of eggs to be coming?
