Novice question about cockerels

he is not bantam correct? and he is nice with the hens?
Haven't had any issues, neither of them have attempted to mate yet as far as I've seen. He's a standard sized.

We have 8 week old RIR free ranging with them and aside from giving them a peck if they stick their head in his food pile he's been great.

I should also add they were hatched and incubated indoors and haven't been around other chickens, other than the RIR which were also hatched and incubated indoors.

if I got him he would be with these 2 Easter Egger hens, 3 Jubilee Orpingtons, 3 Barred Plymouth Rock hens, 3 Rhode Island Red hens, 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte hen. the Easter Eggers are about 4-5 years old the barred rocks and Rhode island reds are like 6-7 and the orpingtons and wyandotte are 1 year old

He'd be in heaven, lol. He's the lower ranking of the two older cockerels I have so he tends to wander on his own unless the girls feel sorry for him and hang out with him.

Are they all hens? I hear younger males tend to get taught how to behave when put with older hens that won't put up with a males shenanigans.
