This past weekend i went to a feed store on the other side of town while i was there they were pulling out some dead chickies from the brooders. There were a couple that were still alive but barely. I couldn't just let them toss them in the pile of dead ones so i took them home with me. Yes i am nuts and my dh let me know that.
I tried to nurse them back to health but it just didn't happen. My two young boys helped too and i really think it was a good learning experience for them.
However now i know i want to get a few more chicks. Hopefully silkies or polish.
I should have stayed away from the feedstore but they always call me to them.
