Now in time of plenty, gather and store for times of want.

She did say that they were over a year old I think.

I will say this, I put together 4 gallons of eggs last summer. And did not use those eggs until my egg production dropped for the winter. But once there, we use a lot of eggs and as I got to the jars that had only been 2-3 months old often times, I got perfect eggs, that I could have easily fried or poached.

So I wonder if your eggs were not real old, if that would make a difference. Personally I too, would have eaten those eggs. I would not store them cracked, but eating them right away would be fine.

I only water glass eggs to get through the winter months. I don't store eggs for over a year.

If you try it, let me know how they tasted. If yours crack that is
I haven’t ever waterglassed eggs, so I don’t know if I will get the opportunity! But maybe someone else will let us know how they taste!
