Now River Otter's Genetics 101

If it's really eating at you, pull some hairs and have him tested. I use this lab;
https://www.animalgenetics.us/product/Equine?productCategory=1 &productCategoryName=Color

You can have him tested for pattern as well.

If you click on the tests, at the bottom of most pages are links to articles about the genetics. If anyone is actually interested in learning and not just seeing if someone is going to rage-lock a thread again, I'd suggest starting there.

She's having him tested through UC Davis.

Rage lock huh?

Whatever one wants to call posting several times with no replies and then locking a thread for a few hours.

Anyway, if someone really wants to get into horse genetics, I recommend starting with this book;

And if you want to get REALLY in-depth with it, this book is the definitive work. I was lucky enough to be able to borrow it from my breeding partner. You can find early editions cheaper, and while they don't have the very latest research, they are still very in depth. Your local library system might be able to find it, and if you are near a college with an animal science program, they will definitely have a copy, and a lot of colleges have programs that will let you access their libraries for cheap or free, although you may not be able to take the books from the library;
