NPIP Certification - UPDATE

on the right hand side is are links to all the forms. This is for the state of MN anyways so not sure if they would be applicable to you. My mom and brother are certified pullorum testors and have all those forms for your annual flock test, sale birds, and exhibition birds. Those just prove that your birds have been tested at are free of PT. When the state vet came out he gave me the Intrastate Sales Statement of Origin form and the Exhibition Statement of Origin form. Those are for when you sell birds and those can be downloaded off the website above. The 9-3 form is another thing that you have to ask for from your board of health. They come in a little book that are actually signed by one of their people. This is for your NPIP paperwork for eggs, chicks, or adult birds. This is the form that has to accompany any shipments that are going out of state.

Hope this helps! I'm the secretary for a club that hosts a couple large shows and at least 7 very large swaps every year. I've been in very close contact with those officials this year as to what exactly is needed.

I was tested in April, and they sent me my results and some VS forms within 2 weeks. When I asked about my actual #, they said they only submit the paperwork quarterly (I believe to Georgia). So mine didn't go in until the end of June; hopefully should have my actual # sometime in July.
She told me I didn't have to wait to get the actual # to ship as long as I had the VS forms, and that VS forms are only given to those who have been certified.

I do have the results sheet saying all birds tested neg and I passed the farm inspection. I talked to someone from the state monday and they said they will be getting some vs forms out to me. So far nothing yet. Im hoping I get them tomorrow.

When you get the VS forms, make sure someone has signed them!! When they sent me the first ones, they forgot to sign them! There is only ONE person in the entire state of Colorado who can sign our forms. She was literally out of the country when I notified them, and then she came back, got married, and immediately went on her honeymoon. By the time they got me some signed forms, it was too hot to ship!! Oh well, I have lots of forms now for fall shipping!!!

BTW - I know I have to buy NPIP stock only to maintain my certification. Does anyone know if this also applies to eggs?

Congrats!

I'm trying to get Nifty to add a special column on the auction forum pages to denote if the seller is NPIP or not. Sure would make life easier for those of us who can only buy NPIP.
