I was wondering how many eggs i can place with my BO hen this is my first attempt at hatching eggs.

It's most important that the chicken be able to completely cover the eggs with her body. If there are too many eggs there will be cold spots that will kill the chicks and as the chicken moves the eggs around in the nest, all of the eggs could potentially cycle through the cold spot.

So it depends on the size of the chicken. BO's are usually pretty big. What about 7 or 8?
