Nuclear weapons in my car?

My responce is always "Nothing in here that I dont have a permit for but you are welcome to go get a warent if ya feal the need to look. I got all day."

Been threw that rodeo a few times in my life.

Last time I got pulled over the cop claimied that I "signaled right but turned left"
well I am pretty darn sure that I didn't signal AT ALL but I really didn't think it was a good idea to argue the point coz then he'd probably write me up for failing to signal or somesuch

and No, I didn't get a ticket. In this small town they pull you over to check your ID if you might be under 30 and driving around past midnight

One time the cop pulled DH over for failing to signal and asked to see MY ID (I'm in the passenger seat I don't think I had to turn it over to her, but what the heck) I think they were hoping to catch him for having a minor out after curfew - yes I look THAT young.

And that right there is the truth!! Kids are always stopped around here, whether in a car, walking, whatever... Makes me mad sometimes, other times I am glad they are there if my kids need help.

I beleve that everywhere in the US you are required to have ID an show it if asked. Driving is not required.

Tag light out is the big excuse used around here.

I have been to jail several times over the years for curfew. That an many other reasons.

I'm pretty sure that you are required to "identify yourself" if the cop asks, such as give them your name which they might look up on their computer.
You aren't required to carry a DL if you aren't driving a car

Check your laws again. Most states require you to have picture ID on you at all times when out in public after a set age. An yes you can be charged with vagrancy in some states if you dont have a set amount of cash on you at all times. Been hit with both...

lol thats nothing. Ive been detained many many times over the years for having the wrong last name. I was in collage before I found out that "Dukes of Hazzard" was a comedy. It was real close to real life around here back then.

I even remember being detained at 15 for walking down the sidewalk on main street with a limp. Im disabled....

I am pretty sure that the court has ruled that stating your name will satisfy the "stop and identify" laws, UNLESS you are driving a motor vehicle then you must have a DL.

It sounds like you come from the kind of town where the cops don't obey the constitution anyway. They probably harass you just for fun and don't give a rat's patooey about your rights. Like I said, I would move.
