The blue baby will have barring in some variation or another because BR roosters pass barring to all their chicks.

So far, she seems wonderful. And the lone BBS Orp baby hatched. Tom found the empty shell, but the baby is somewhere under mama. That's 3 out of 5 so far. We are about to go into Day 21 now. I love hatching under broodies. The babies seem to hatch earlier or actually on time and they dry much faster, too. The only downside is that we can't see when they pip.

Watching a good broody in action never gets old. I will be selling the chicks, but I hate to take every single one of them from her. I took Glenda's (my Blue Orp/Buff Brahma cross) from her at a week old and she ran all over the place looking for them. She wasn't settled for days and it broke my heart.

Thanks, Lisa! All five eggs hatched.

Tom brought in the last two eggshells, so Nugget had a 100% hatch! We'll have to wait till tomorrow to check on them and get pictures.
