Hi all! I have a couple questions regarding the Nurture Right 360 incubator. We recently were gifted one by a friend, but it doesn’t have the red plug for B. I put a clean tissue in there to plug it. Will that work? Thank you!

Also, when I turned the incubator on, it said the humidity was 99% percent. How long should it take to stabilize? Once it reached 96%, it went back up to 98%, then it read ‘oU.’ I unplugged the incubator for a second, then plugged it back in but nothing changed.
Thanks all for any help given!

Never mind about the humidity. It now says it is 98%, so I guess it will start stabilizing. No clue why it said ‘oU.’

oU, that's super weird. 98% is really high. Is it totally dry inside? You might want to pull the eggs for a bit, dry everything, and let it run for a bit. Did you tip the lid upside down at any point?

There is no condensation anywhere in the incubator. The humidity now says that it is 92%. I may have tipped the lid upside down but I’m not sure. Does that effect it?

My JANOEL12 incubator right next to it seems to be doing fine with humidity. I have a thermometer/hygrometer in there and the humidity stays between 45-55. I did have to put paper in it to prop the lid open to vent it out. The heat is stable at 99.5 Fahrenheit.
Should I open the vent completely on the Nuture Right 360? It’s 1/3 of the way open now.

Put your extra hydrometer in there and check it. Is this extra hydrometer salt tested?

Yes, apparently it does. In the manual it says if you tip it upside down it can mess up the built in hydrometer.

Yeah, I keep the vent open all the way at all times. I think it's impossible that your humidity in there is 90%+. The built in hydrometer must have gotten messed up. There would be condensation if it's that high.

Thank you! It’s not tested, but seems to be very accurate with our other incubator as the chicks are developing fine, and there is no condensation, or dryness. The humidity went down to 87%, and I left the vent all the way open. Thank you so much for your help! Is there any way to fix the built-in hygrometer?
