Nutritional Yeast

In my research into making my own feed, I have been making protein % lists, price lists, recipe lists, etc. At our WF store, I noticed nutritional yeast, and that it is 50% protein...can it be used for chickens? Should it? Similar to brewer's yeast? Any info would be appreciated!

I have no experience with it. I believe some quality feeds use it.

NY is very high in B vitamins. I don't know if that's good/bad for chickens. But...it's REALLY yummy. Put it in gravies or on popcorn and you'll keep it from your chickens.

gives me a place to dump my yeast when i make a batch of beer ..... i should dump my used grains in with the chickens too
