NY: BEAUTIFUL 2 Yr Old B/W Paint Filly MUST SELL ASAP $500

thats to bad,,,I couldnt live there, way to many people for me..here I can take him out on a drive and even going along some highways I can usually go 10-12 miles before I see any cars..its very peacefull..both your horses are very nice looking, but even here without any training you wouldnt get more then 100 for the filly, the gelding might bring a nice price but still less then you have into him.

For the past three years, I have purchased one load of nice horses from Minnesota and transported them back here to sell them because the prices HERE are better than there, believe it or not! But, this year I did not do it, obviously, and will not be doing it again in the future.

I bought a gorgeous black, well bred, registered AQHA gelded 10 month old colt for $25!!! He was one cute little booger!! Got him a great home, too.

Let's hope something positive and good works out for my little girl. I have no expectations of getting what I have into the other gelding. But, I will lose more money on the horse for which I "invested a little money in training" than the one I sold "as is," most likely. It's hard to know exactly what to do.

Thanks for your input, though, I know the horse business is difficult in many ways!

Well, no luck so far on finding my little girl a home. Going to try to get some better photos of her and clean up the big guy and get some video clips of him under saddle and see if I can sell him.

Thanks for all of the comments and kind thoughts. If any of you decide you have to have her, let me know! LOL. I actually have a horse transported from Long Island going down to Georgia to pick up a bunch of geese for me, so maybe he would cut a good deal to anyone along the route.

Nancy you will be going past me on the way south. I am in NJ and if you need hay for your return trip let me know. You can get some really nice hay here for 6.00 a bale, the idea is leave trailer and pick it up full on the way back maybe.

Mary Lee:

Thank you so much! That would be great. I am not sure when I am coming down next, but you can bet that I'll let you know when I do. If I go upstate, I can get some nice hay for about $2.50/bale, too. But, it is hard to haul geese and hay at the same time. LOL.

I am not doing the transport to GA. It's a professional hauler.

So he is coming down empty? I would love northern Timothy hay..... I am in south Ga/Fl border

I have no idea what he has going either way. I simply asked him to bid on the group of geese from GA to NY and he gave me a really good bid. I was just saying that he was passing my house on the way out to go to GA. If you'd like, I will pass on his email and/or phone number once I get a better idea of what we're doing.

I'm trying to find a decent photo to use for an ad for Easton (the gelding)....I tried to pull a photo off of a video I took of him at a trainer....how does this one look? Is it a good one to use, or should I keep trying?

keep trying. go for a more natural look. stay out of his face, keep the leg off so he does not look overbridled and swishing his tail. A good photo is 95% of selling horses these days.

Not me riding....it's a professional western pleasure show trainer. I'm just trying to find a photo I can use without having to go back out with the camera, because I have no one to ride him right now. I am not able to ride now since I cannot breathe.

Guess I'll keep seeing what I can capture on that video tape as he warms up more.
