Do any of you have Silkies? Those ugly little critters have weaseled into my heart. Plus they make great broodies from what I've read. I don't care about color as long as they are "pure" and preferably not bantam but that's not a deal breaker. I would like chicks not pullets or hens but buggers can't be too choosey.

The fever is starting again. This dang Morehen's disease is going to kill me.

Yep, I should hopefully have black split to lavender silkies. Or Pharm has some really nice ones if she's coming. They are bantam though - there are no real LF silkies in the states. Some people have some projects going though.

I think I have decided to make grilled chicken 1/2 . Ny style with speedie sauce and Carolina style with Carolina Treat sauce. Maybe based beans and coleslaw to go with it. Yum....

Any suggestions as to a date for spring? Jon wants to reserve the potty and make sure all our chickens are in a row. He plans on making an order from cackle for delivery the Friday before chickenstock if any of you want me to add anything to my order. We will also have meaties at processing point if anyone is interested.

I can't commit to anything........donations, chicks, food etc. 'til we have a date. I would really like to come and I'd like to get some meat chicks and bring chicks. Work is a pain in the butt sometimes !!

I'm thinking May 6th or 13th? Less sport stuff (i think) going on early month. Plus it will be a tad cooler for the birds. If it's too chilly for chicks the chosen day I have a huge broader they can hang out in if needed.
