Near what city would any fall Chickenstock be ? I would have chicks a few months old to sell by then :) The AB and some pure Marans .... number all depending on broody hens.

Sorry been quiet - locked out of the forum for a while and roofing issues .... all settled now.

sure, now I have 2 hens deciding to go broody AFTER chickenstock. :barnie Going to move them this weekend into one of the Eglus, if they stick they can have some eggs. One is the Black AC/EE hen I hatched from Pyxis eggs last year and the other is a Chamois Spitz from PhoredaBurds. *sigh*
Loving the little Lemon Cuckoo Orp that I got from @FalynCady and can't remember the true owner, started with J! Daughter named it Lemony Snicket, hopefully we don't have unfortunate events. It (hoping pullet) is perfectly happy being in the brooder box by itself in the garage. Have taken it outside on the lawn and hung out, so calm.

Yup. I've got 6 broody hens right now. I'm going to start breaking them tomorrow. I'll let two stay broody (for eggs that are currently under one of them), but 6 is too many.

The blue wheaten Americans from @tao chick and the cuckoo Marans from @MorrisRdFarms moved to a new grow out pen I built for the coop this week.

I don't love the design, it's too big - I think I'll make two slightly smaller pens this weekend. Something easy to disassemble so they can be stored flat.
