Where is this chickenstolk gonna be located ?
@Pyxis Who is a mod so I can contact one?
So it seems Spitz the silver spitzhauben has gone broody again. Normally I enjoy a broody chicken, however there is a slight problem with this situation. Spitz is my 2nd in common roo. 3 days in a row he sat and I had to move him to the roost. Tonight he said nope I'm sitting on my eggs. So here is the question, do I actually see if he will stick to it or what?

That's crazy. My spitz boys will make nests and try to talk the girls into coming there to lay, but I've never had a roo try to hatch anything out. Please do keep us posted on his progress. Everything I read about spitz says they're not broody. However, I've had a few broody spitz (hens) including the hen (on eggs) I drove 2 hours to chickenstock where she sat for a few hours in the heat and then was driven to her new home w myfivegirls. The handful of random eggs I had found in a hidden nest were put under her to just to keep her in the broody mood. Apparently it worked. She then proceeded to hatch out a bunch of those eggs, lol. Crazy bird.
