Love the talk of soaping... I started a business last year making soaps, lotions, etc. (from scratch). My best selling and most loved item is goat milk cream. I also love making other products using as much natural ingredients as possible. Vanilla bean facial scrub, peppermint and black pepper massage oil, goat milk, shea butter, chamomile, green tea, neem oil, babassu oil, the list goes on and on. LOVE fooling around with all this stuff and coming up with awesome products!

I'll be working on a new product later this weekend. An eye serum that will be useful for puffiness, redness, irritation, etc around the eye with Indian Pennywort extract, Green Tea extract and Chamomile extract, along with panthenol and hyuralonic acid. Can't wait to play with that one!

Pharmchick - so sorry about your dad. My hubby and I have lost most of our grandparents the past few years.

We had a great time at State Fair yesterday. Woke up at 5:45 and couldn't get back to sleep, so took my time. Dropped Little Girl off with my parents to spend the night. Got to the fair at noon and got a decent parking spot near the beef barn. We walked through all the 4-H barns and exhibits, dairy barn, watched a few of the draft horse classes in the coluseum, went through the other buildings. Avoided the mid-way, we don't play any of the games and our favorite eating places are always near the horse and dairy barns. Made sure we walked through all the chickens. I agree, what is up with coloring the silkies? They look like clowns. We packed our own lunch which we ate when we got there, then only had to buy some dinner before the concert. And tried the wine slushies..... the strawberry was so good I had 2. The concert was great, our seats were good and really enjoyed Luke Bryan. Jason Aldean was loud, but still good. Hubby enjoyed the 'view' all day - never seen so many short shorts and K-mart cowboy hats. I bet there are a lot of blistered feet today from walking the fair in cowboy boots. We wore sneakers. Concert started at 7:30, got done around 11. By the time we got home, showered, hit bed at 1:30am. Made for a long day.
This morning when I finally rolled out of bed, collected the eggs from yesterday afternoon and this morning. I think I have another brown egg layer! There was a light brown egg laid next to the litter box. There was a light speckled brown egg in the box, so I know it wasn't the Australorp's. There was also a empty balloon egg on top of the litter box, nothing but the soft shell and egg white, along with lots of poo from roosting on top of the box. Not looking forward to cleaning that mess.

I now have 20 eggs in the fridge. And that is with making egg salad for lunch last week and fried eggs for breakfast this morning. And I will get another 2-3 this afternoon. Need to find some egg recipes. Hubby thinks Frittata or Quiche is weird.

Deviled eggs sound good for Labor Day, but these fresh eggs are impossible to peel. Maybe I'll trade out some of my mom's old store bought eggs with fresh ones. She always keeps at least 2 doz in the fridge, but never uses eggs for anything.

I can't keep them in my cooler out front for sale. Funny... some days I don't sell any and they build up, then all of a sudden I'll have people stop and buy me out. Even if I take my sign down (when I'm out of eggs) people knock on the door. LOL

What about donating to a local food pantry? I'll bet they would LOVE fresh eggs.
