NY chicken lover!!!!

Tab's chicken obsession :

Good news! Once the sun came up a little more my roo came out of hiding. We found him down by our second coop. He's my younger roo and I think the others were bullying him a bit so he went to visit the other girls. He gave me quite the scare. I love my birds but I favor the BLRW.

So glad he is back!...

Tab's chicken obsession :

Shut the boys and girls in last night did a head count and realized my splash BLRW roo was missing. Searched all over last night and again this morning with no luck, not even a pile of feathers some place. I'm hoping he turns up today.
The week before christmas I plan on incubating some eggs and was wondering if anyone would have some BLRW eggs that they would be willing to part with.

\\You might try Trilyn, I think she has a BRW roo , she might part with. I don't know. Sorry I spoke to soon, but I'm glad you found your roo.

We had Call Ducks and an empty Barn. We decided on Silkie Chickens. We have 14 beautiful hens and one Rooster. We named the Rooser Ruscello and the girls are being named as we
"get to know" them.

We started with: Carmen , Violeta, Juliette, Armida and our Black Beauty Aria.

Just found this thread. I have been posting and asking questins. NO ANSWERS. Very
disappointed.

I joined The Poultry Connection. There I got answers to all my questions. This group from New York appear to be communicating. Glad I found you all. Aria

Glad to have you join us! Yeah sometimes its hard to get an answer on here and sometimes you get to many lol. Where in NY are you from? If you don't mind me asking. Seems like everyone is on the east side of the state.

When I could not get help on this forum I joined The Poultry Connection and they gave me
all the answers I needed. FOR NOW.

Now that I have found New York State Chicken Lovers.....I am all set. Will try my questions
when new ones come up. Regards, Aria

Western side of the state...I am on the Eastern Side.

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! It went by fast, now there is only 4 weeks til christmas.
On a sad note, we lost one of our best layers this week. We think she was egg bound, our first experience of this. Didn't realize it until too late. I'm turning the last few eggs of hers into ornaments for the tree.

I am sorry for your loss. Try not to feel to bad chickens can be fragile sometimes and go before they show any signs anything is wrong. I've had one who was fine in the morning only to be found dead in the afternoon. Still it does break the heart.

take care
Rancher
