We had a turkey in the tree in out front yard that drove the dogs this morning. DH told me about it when I got home.

My brother died this morning. I got there and couldn't get my jacket off, ended up ripping the zipper apart. He waited for us to get there.

I don't know what your faith is, but I beleive that he will be spending Christmas with Jesus this year AND surrounding your family in his spiritual arms to help you cope with his loss here on earth.

Tab , I am so sorry to hear of your brother passing away .. It was good that you got to say goodbye to him .
Remember the good times ..he is always there in your heart . He fought a valiant fight as long as he could .
my mother also died of cancer ..she passed away before we got to the hospital . So I wasnt able to say goodbye to her . I regret that .

Morning all. Well, my mother made it down safely yesterday and we are happy that she is here. Our cat, however, is not happy that my mothers dog is here. They were okay for a bit after arrival but when they were sniffing each other, Bandit (the dog) tried to bite her face. Its going to be a long week with those two!

I did manage to let the silkies out for a while yesterday in between baking and cleaning and cooking. They were thrilled to get out and freerange for a while. Freshened up everyones coop and filled feeders/waterers. Dh was kind enough to freerange the girls and then the terrorists. Mean marge is definately back to her old self as she bawked my head off while I was out there taking care of her coop and then she followed dh around bawking at him while they were freeranging. Now if only the girls would start laying again!

Running off to work. May all of you enjoy today with family and friends and remember those who arent with us any more. They are looking down on us from heaven.

Tab, warm thoughts sent your way. Your brother fought a good fight for as long as he could.

Life is busy, especially at this time of year, but give yourself time to grieve. You can teach your girls that grieving is an important homage to those we lost, and also to our future health. And the hardest thing to do.
