Where to begin.

DW was surprised though suspicious since I cleaned out the office and made sure things were set up "ahead" of time instead of the usual last minute. She's enjoying herself I think. She enjoys cookie making and they're supposed to frost them together. I'm not sure what some of them (cut outs) are but they're good un-frosted.

Lynzi - get an electric start blower and the biggest you can afford. If you buy a warranty specify that it covers parts AND labor. With mine (Sears) they have to come to the house. I can't load this thing. Lord have mercy my arms hurt just trying to wield it around the yard to all the coops. Of course I'm short too.

There are "skies" on the front that allow me to just skim the surface of the yard without tearing up the lawn.

Featherz - Happy whatever Solstice is. I'll have to google it. Just don't drink and drive.

I'm Irish my family celebrates celebrating. For years I thought I was named after "Jack Daniels" the whisky. I only realized it was a long lost ancestor a few years ago. Don't feel to bad for me though. Feel bad for my sister "Black Velvet".

Lapeerin - please don't say Cold or I'll get a cold. I do hope everyone gets some rest and feels better soon.

Egg Skelter ? - I've no room on the counter for one. Eggs here get washed , dried and put in a carton asap. Lately however with family here they go from the coop to the pan, cookies or cake. Not enough to wash. They don't last long.

Merry Christmas everyone! Lucky me...I got not one but 2 incubators for christmas! Dh got me a brensea octogon 20 and my girls got me a genises 1588 incubator! I cant wait to start hatching! Lucky me. My cheeps all got some christmas dinner and are very happy. They didnt like the snow. We only got a dusting but are due to get dumped on tomorrow night. I hope everyone has had a good christmas, enjoying family and friends.

Little girl had a busy day, was too busy with all the fun new toys to nap. Finally went down at 4:30, good thing she is spending the night at Nana's! I got a much needed nap in, of course the wine helped. Dad and brother got me a no-frost hydrant, electrical panel and a few boxes for lights in the horse barn. Some assembly required!
Chickens got some leftover chicken, potatoes and broth for breakfast. Been getting about 4 eggs a day out of 10 hens, but it is only a certain few laying everyday. Hubby wants more hens in the spring, no Roos. Little girl likes watching the YouTube videos of chicks hatching. We will see what spring brings, as it now appears winter will bring its wrath this week. Now where is that hydrant and electric...

So sorry to hear Tab, hope you get through it well..... may I ask what kind he had?

He had colon cancer. We don't have a history of it in our family and he was young. They said his was a rare form.

Christmas flew by. The girls enjoyed it. I'll have to post some pics from my new pocket size camera DH got me. I always forget to bring the camera so I hope putting one in my pocket will help.

Going back to boonville this week. It's going to be a long few days.

Christmas has been cancelled due to illness.

My MIL, who does Christmas day at their house, is so sick we took her to emergency a couple days ago. She could barely breathe. She's in her 70's and diabetic. They diagnosed her with viral bronchitus. My FIL is on antibiotics and is almost just as sick. We had to cancel for today. I was supposed to have Boxing day here at my house with a full turkey dinner (everything already purchased) and we had to cancel that, too because dh is really sick with (we think) the same thing his mom has.
I have been back and forth to the in-laws bringing them stuff and taking care of their chickens (4 separate coops).
But I did get a new convection oven I've been wanting from dh.

Time to go see how this baby works!
