NY chicken lover!!!!

Now folks don't get me wrong. I'm glad they got married, but I just found out they were both married most of these years to other people. Divorces came just a few years ago. One as soon as two years ago.

Both had kids from previous marriages. I love my neice and DW did make a big tray of cookies for the party. I do agree however that things have gotten way out of whack. Registrations and all that are just to much.

Marq - Who do you sell to at this time of year? Lord have mercy I have no place warm enough for chicks. My BM's do lay well though the hens too, have hardly any silver. They will most likely be the first to be hatched. I would be open to a trade of eggs if your up for it. Mine came from NC. Jon something or other.

I'm not far from the TSC or CM so I'm not to worried about getting feed though I did stop for corn to mix with the Boss.

DW is using tomatoes I put up this summer and there is the freezer. Plus plenty of flour for bread and I stock up on coffee pretty regular. Next year more canning. I hope to do Veg stock and Chickens stock. Also freeze more veggies too. I've got berries in the freezer to make more jam when things calm down.

Quote: Dont know if this is her problem ..was reading this from one of bees threads
I read where someone had issues with healthy chickens all of a sudden having leg problems described this way:

"signs of paralysis. Their curled toes put them off balance and they would rock back on their hocks. In advanced stages, their legs would scoot out behind them and they would scoot about pathetically on their breasts"....

"After consulting my Merk Vetrinary Manual, I determined that it was curly toe syndrome caused by a riboflavin deficiency. Grabbing some beef liver from the freezer, I fed it to the chicks and the problem stopped immediately. Even the paralyzed chicks began walking again. Since putting brewers yeast in the ration, we haven't had the problem."

Good Morning everyone! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I have not been all in so long. I forget to log in once a day and check so I get the up dates. Christmas is a very busy time for me! With the five kids and my DH family gathering...just crazy..

We have snow!! oh wow! lots of it! Hopefully DH will let me use the snowblower to clean out some for the chickens, the pens are so full!

Enjoy the day!

We put our Holiday off because of the Flu. Did not want to expose
the family. We are planning on weekend of January 12.

Drinking a lot of orange juice and trying to rest. GET RID OF THIS.

WOW Amy two incudators. You will be hatching.
