Well, that manure keeps coming, regardless of whether or not someone wants it.My friend started growing her own hay last year, so she'll spread some, but there should be plenty to share with Rancher!![]()
Sorry about the Buckeye eggs -- hope they show up in good shape tomorrow.
Today was typical March weather: a hint of spring, but mostly winter with lots of blowing in and out snow squalls. Coop construction continued, nonetheless!

Now I was just thinking of an easier way to handle the manure and I thought since they hang those feed bags on the front end of horses. Why can't you hang a bag on the other end too and collect it right from the spigot? Then you wouldn't have to shovel anything. Just tie up the bag and it's all ready to sell.
I think I'll go on that "Shark Tank" show and pitch my idea. I'll be rich!![]()
Well, it sounds like it worked out for everyone -- these roosters will not believe their good fortune. A veritable HAREM compared to the single hen they fought over.![]()

My birds have plenty for tonight, I am having a freezing cold feeling evening and locking up the peeps and staying in front of the wood stove this evening. Brrr...Going to bring a lot of (eating) eggs over to schuylerville auction this weekend as I am drowning in eggs so if anyone sees them there buy some!! =) =)
Love that we didn't get any snow here today or yesterday. All the birdies are out gallivanting. Just about to go outside and fill up the water/food for tomorrow. TGIF (tomorrow!)..
I'm sorry to inform you someone already thought of it lol. Some Amish use them while going down the road so the horses don't leave piles. I should invest in some!
I'm pretty sure the red roo isn't RIR but maybe a mix as he has a beard. He's gorgeous either way!

Yes but are the Amish selling those bags of manure? And will those bags hold an entire days worth of manure?
