NY chicken lover!!!!

great mixed top it off the one that aint sit acts like a roo pecking all and trying to bully this new bird around. new bird is bigger but don't do anything back wich is good I guess. I tried the foot thing with turning upside down on the bully and it went crazy so only adds to my roo theory.

edit: LMAO I put the one I think is a roo in the box we brought them home in for like 5-10 min heat lamp on edge of box alittle so wouldn't get too cold or over heat. any ways I put him back into the brooder I have atm and he is just pecking all not singling out the new chick.

With them being mixed will be still look silkie or will my other two look different when older that is if the one lives.

Ok so I went to my ts in Dunkirk and bought some more supplys for another brooder. while I was there I talked to the guy I talked to yesterday about my bird and he gave me another silkie. now I bring it home and notice right away that it is way different than the "silkies" I got from hamburg. hamburgs are pink skin/legs 4 toes and have a comb/points on head. this one is black skin/legs 5 toes and smooth head between the eyes. are my first ones not silkies and now I have 1 silkie instead of three?
Ditto what Marquisella said. Sounds like you have only 1 silkie.

And I should have more than one in winter since they don't roost dang that's why I bought two from the other TS. hmm wonder if I take this one there they may exchange it for another silkie
Do you mean take the two that AREN'T silkies and exchange those for silkies? Or take the one silkie back and get the same breed you already have? I had one silkie living with my orpingtons for a while and she was fine. I moved her only because I had an orpington roo at the time and I didn't want him injuring her so I got a couple more silkies. But if you have the one silkie in with other hens, she may be fine.

take two that aint silkies back for one that is be back in a few see what they say. cause one that aint silkie is picking on this one none stop eating the smooth feathering she's getting

Gosh I hope they wouldn't take them back. That's asking for a boatload of trouble.
agreed.
Maybe they would just refund

I had a little talk with my hens today about what happens to free loaders! Haha. 10-13 eggs per day out of 30 hens kinda stinks :/ I realize some of them are over 4 years old but 22 of them are only 1, and they are leghorns! Hopefully they got my drift ;)
