2. The meal worm thing looks like something I'd like to start, but perhaps I should be buying them? What is their purpose?
3. I've never had a chick drown. The waterers are a safe design and unless the chick is drunk , it's not likely to fall in and drown. I just keep the waterer away from where they sleep. On one end of the brooder a ways away from the light.

I started my new job and have to work the next two days. All I can say is , Wow!
I still have 6 of your Marans eggs in the bator now. We will see how it goes. It seems to me that a higher humidity would be better since the shells are so thick. Wouldn't more moisture help soften the shell so they can get out? Though I'm not sure that is the problem, it could very well be the lines. Idk but we will figure this out! I want some Marans darn it! Lol. We must find someone with different lines and see what happens. I am on day 11 of incubation, half way there, only 2 eggs out of 41 were not fertile! Yay!
