NY chicken lover!!!!

Update on the wedding we served at.

The menu was "Jerk chicken" ( don't know what makes them jerk, maybe cooties) Rice and beans, Fried Plantains, Corn bread and tossed salad.

I worked doing the Plantains. Easy to do but better with some salt on them. Frying them was messy though and we didn't have splatter screens.

DW says it's a Caribbean seasoning called "Jerk". Anyhow it was good.

Brought all the skins of the Plantains home to put in the compost. There were 405 people or thereabouts. A lot of Plantains. I will be making them for at home.

Check in with you later. I hate to go and collect eggs it's so hot. I think some of the broodies just stand up and flap their wings to keep the temp right on their eggs.
Rancher was you serving? They could have been just staying "hey jerk, chicken me" and you just didn't hear it all.

Pyxis you have no luck with dogs and i'm sorry for yet another chicken lost to a dog.

Well just got back from the races. We got free tickets to lake erie speedway. We watched a few heats and then it rained. they spend two hours dragging tires on track and driving get it nice a dry. Then BAM rain again. While they was driving my daughter noticed a female driving to dry the track. She was like "Look a girl driver. I didn't know girls could be racers" told her yep girls can do anything guys can. We meet up with a female driver while they was drying track and she went back to her pit area got my daughter a pic of her and her BF racer also. They both signed it and she also gave my daughter 4 tickets for a different race where they can meet drivers and cars on the track. Top it off since we got rained out our tickets are good for a different show. So 3 shows of free tickets. Never mind we spent like 74 dollars there. Food was most expensive I've ever seen it. But kids had a good time.

Need to get rid of a RIR rooster, I can not have a roo, 11 weeks old. I'm hoping that someone will take him to give him a home, and by home I don't mean the freezer.

I live in Caroga Lake NY, message me if interested .

I'll pretend you didn't say that.

As I recall it wasn't that bad. Not as bad as a kidney stone. I had both knees done too and I survived. Just lay down for two or three days if you can. You know we men are big babies and if I say it wasn't that bad it will be easier for you. Unless of course he used dull tools.

If you see any rust on them don't let him operate.

Makes me feel better now Passed lots of kidney stones those are a breeze and I have given birth 6 times natural each time and last one was 11 lbs. 15 1/2 ozs. so hopefully I can handle this. The thing that is going to be the worst is it is my right shoulder and I am right handed.

Hmmmm wonder how happy the doctor would be if I ask to look for rust.

lmao. just hope he don't tell you sure you can look as soon as the mask goes on.

I'm no expert but my daughter just had surgery and seems faster you get moveing better you will be. My wife had both kids cut out and seemed same with her. Now my friend at work his wife had shoulder surgery but didn't relax like the doc said and took awhile to recover and had problems for a few months. She lifted more than was told to ect.

Had a busy day cleaned the coops , cleaned the babies' brooders, started on a new coop, taught the boys how to hang clothes on line so they can do it while momma's wing is in a sling, washed and groomed 2 of the 4 dogs will do the other 2 tomorrow, looked online at Lowes for a washer mine is a front loader and it is banging pretty good while spinning thought about calling Sears repair again but it is just getting too old so time to get a new one still haven't figured out which one I want but will I guess when I get there tomorrow, researched Incubators some more still undecided whether I want to get a Hovabator or another Brinsea. Tomorrow is going to be just as busy as today was trying to get everything done before surgery so I can just relax and not worry about supervising someone else doing the stuff that needs to be done here.

Oh no this old girl will be relaxing and do exactly what I am supposed to in order to have the wing back in action for the beginning of July as that is when for me classes start again.

I'm not able to get on here in a few days and boom over 200 posts.
This week has been a crazy one for me. Tuesday had my sonogram (having another girl), Wednesday had an OB appointment, Thursday NPIP testing and a trip to pediatrician, Friday brahmapapa eggs from post office and prep stuff for chickenstock, and yesterday go to chickenstock in Onchiota. Today we're off to the chicken show at the state fair grounds. I'm ready for a lounge chair and fruity ice drink. Oh and a flaky pastry sounds good too!
