NY chicken lover!!!!

Well so much for my eggs in the bator! Woke up this morning to temp in their being down to 60! So I'm freaking out wondering why, it's plugged in but the incubator is off! WTH so I take the plug out, move it over to the plug my washing machine is plugged into and I see the GFI tripped on THAT outlet! But it's weird because it's not like there was no power in that room, I was able to turn the light on no problem. And the plug that the incubator was in isn't even a GFI or on the same wall! UGH I'm so mad. These eggs are probably goners aren't they? I started that laundry last night which means these eggs went without heat for at least 8-10 hours.

Don't lose hope! The day of the big storm last week we lost power and my bator got pretty cold and the chick survived!

Not at all. (My opinion) I've had hens get off their eggs and I put them in the incubator and had them hatch. How far along are they? My vote is to plug 'em back in!

They're due to hatch next week Fri/Sat sometime. I reset the GFI so the outlet is working again and the bator is plugged in. Already back up to 100-101 degrees. Just gotta watch it now that it doesn't rise above that and I end up cooking them! :-(

Mama and babies buggin this afternoon
Such a funny picture!

Thank goodness my hens like rain. They were out at 6 am and still out now at 8 pm. I love my automatic door.....makes life easier. I can't wait till the tots can move in with the big girls. But I give the tots credit they were out in the rain today walking thru puddles that were past their knees lol

I really need to build an ark. Lol

Jlaw the best investment I made was electric netting and automatic pop door, I don't have to worry about the chickens except to feed them and collect eggs once a day

They are so pretty! My chickens love the rain and water. I'm so happy we are finally getting some rain. It's been way too dry.
The newest Mille Fleur breeding rooster Max. He was shipped in yesterday from South Dakota to make up for some of the birds going to the sale this weekend. What do you all think?
He is gorgeous!
RANCHER! I need some chicks! This kid is going to need some company.

I wish you lived closer. I just had 2 EE hatch. They were such an unexpected surprise.
This is "Johnny"
So very pretty.

Any thoughts on the mass left in the shell? I'm nervous and wondering if it is the yolk sac as someone suggested on the hatching forum and that maybe I should be offering this kid food and water. I haven't opened the bator, haven't held it yet, trying to resist the urge to hold it and never let it go.
