NY chicken lover!!!!

Any thoughts on the mass left in the shell? I'm nervous and wondering if it is the yolk sac as someone suggested on the hatching forum and that maybe I should be offering this kid food and water. I haven't opened the bator, haven't held it yet, trying to resist the urge to hold it and never let it go.
It's normal. I think it's just the remnant of the yolk sac membrane. We hatch quite a bit and it is a normal sight in the empty shell. It detaches on its own and babies have been fine.

Thanks, This baby is from Pearl who is the white Silkie hen I got from Lynzi, who I believe came from you. Also I'm pretty sure it's partridge pattern.

What a Cutie ! Dont Tell Rancher its a silkie !

She just sent me a private message asking if I had a chick or chicks to sell/trade to put with that thing.

She didn't say it was a silkie.

Now, now ............ you know I'm just joking right? Of course I offered her the only chick I have a blk/lav orp. For two sacks of manure. Oh no,

I hope she knows I mean horse manure.

I found a round worm in one of my chickens poop not sure which one what should I treat them with and how long do I have to stop eating their eggs
Caynene pepper flakes & garlic is what I use. All natural and you don't have to worry about chemicals in your eggs. I just mix some into their FF once a month or so. Just enough so you can see it in every spoonful. I have never had/seen worms in my hens poop so I use it as a preventive and its worked so far. And most chickens have some worms all the time from what I have read.

What a cutie! I thought the three she hatched out in December were partridge too:

But then they looked like this:

And then this...(this one reminded me of Mumble from Happy Feet)

Yours is really cute though, looks like it has more "blonde" coloring in it than mine did when they hatched out. You'll have to take more pics in the next few days. (sorry Rancher)

Well, My incubator is back at a steady 100-101 degrees. Not sure if these eggs will make it but at least I have some under Stella if they don't. I'll try candling them tomorrow and see if I see any movement in them.
