Awww, the rest are definitely done or you're still waiting on them?

I couldn't stand it anymore I went up and checked on Stella's eggs and TWO of the four have little pips in them!!!!! Can't wait to wake up tomorrow and see if they've finished hatching!

I'm still waiting on them. They were due tonight since day 21 was tonight at like 5pm haha I'm trying to be patient and I haven't checked. I'm just kind of waiting to see what happens at this point. She is just with the little black hen and the rooster so I'm hoping the chicks will be okay since she's definitely top of the pecking order.
Two of 4 is pretty awesome, fingers crossed!!

Evening all. I heard it was nice out all day and I did get to enjoy a little bit at 7pm. I dont think I mentioned that my broody silkie sitting on eggs has the pox and I have had to treat her eyes for the last two days as they were poxed over. The scabs have come off and the veterimycin eye ointment seems to be helping her as her eyes are now open again and she can see. I am not sure if the chicks will get it once they hatch. All of my cheeps have had the dry pox and its usually quite mild. This silkie was one I had gotten shipped to me so I dont think she had ever had it before. Anyways, she showed her appreciation of my treatment efforts but leaving a huge, nasty, stinky broody poop in the garage that I had to clean up. Put her back in the coop and she immediately got back on the nest and eggs.

The other cheeps enjoyed time out with dh freeranging. He cut the grass so they were feasting on bugs and stuff.

Stony--sorry to hear of your loss.

Lynzi--kinda like christmas at your house huh??? We need baby pics!

No, but someone may have lit a fire under his butt! We are under contract to have all our papers delivered by 6am on tuesday/thursday and 730am on sunday.

I didn't really care if it was after 7, but sometimes I'd beat him and leave him some eggs in the box. I can't leave them out there over night in case something smells them.

I think the chickens have enough room, but there are plans to expand the pen soon, which might help.

Stony that sucks I'm sorry that happened, I hear $20 is a lot of money at least for me!

Rancher I understand I've fought for every penny owned to me at work, I believe that this issue should be applied to all jobs you should be paid properly.

Lynzi, omg I'm so excited for your I can't wait to see pics.

AQH your baby and mama are adorable. Your mama looks like mine who can be mean I think to prove herself but IDK I'm not sure I would trust her with babies. Good luck I can't wait to see more pics.

Pharm I hear it was a nice day and I was at work all day then took a nap and then did a lot of homework. UGH

Well my big coop is good but my small coup I found some not so good holes in the run so we locked the silkies in coop tonight and patched up the holes. My son is going to home so he can keep an eye on them and I will grab some hardware cloth and rescreen their run. Maybe that is where that raccoon or skunk has been trying to get my chickens. Glad I caught it early before anything has happened.

So the score is silkies 6 eggs barred rock 1 egg LOL

Ok so i was out in coop haveing all the big birds outside i desided to bring the chickens i got from tab and my small one from ohio out into the coop. They huddle in corner while i'm in there. I tryed treats still didnt want to come around so i let the other chickens back in and toss treats around. My rooster comes in... I dont think he likes the new ones. He would walk over to them in between the girls and little ones . He would stretch his wing down to floor then start strutting sideways/scraping. I didn't know what he was planning so i wacked him in back to stop it. he did for a few min but then did it again at which point i desided big ones outside. Is that an attack warning or a mateing warning? It seemed like it was mainly doing it to the frizzle i got from tab wich is the closest to size of my other birds.

It was late 8: 00 pm and the babies wanted to go to bed ..I let them out of their growout pen . It is Out in our back yard
And called them ..2 Samatras flew from the ground up to my shoulder .Peep Peeep Peep they love to talk ...in my ear ..LOL
They fly real good as babies ..I can see why they are in your trees Stoney .
Last night I had to put them in early ..I had to chase them all down & catch each one ..
Tonight they just went in their blue bin to be carried in to their cage ..they wanted to go to bed ..

Lynzi - how old was the chick that Duncan mated with ? It may have had something wrong with it or
its bones werent strong enough to hold Duncans weight too .

Stony-- that stinks about the tables

I woke up to candle. The whole hatch is a bust. Looks like a few started but quit. I have never had a horrible hatch from my hovabator til now. We had 3 thermometers in there. The only thing we didn't do as normal was candle. We still think something is wrong with the bator to have the whole batch of eggs not grow. I'm so disappointed. I had eggs from brahmapapa in there plus a few of my own. DH wants to set another hatch but I don't think I'm feeling it.

Sandy says good morning, I was up late doing homework then early morning run, I ain't feeling it today, now 20 to 7 I gotta start work soon. I just wanna sleep!
