Watch out though... we're all a bunch of enablers! Speaking of which, I'll have chicks from those Lav Orps available in a few weeks.

I would love chicks from your orps. Let me know if you become willing to sell any pullets. I won't have room for many, but I would l be excited to have a few of your birds. You are close enough to drive to too.

I'd be glad to sell you chicks, but I only sell straight run. Unfortunately, I'm pretty small scale, not a hatchery. If I started selling only pullets, I'd have nothing but roosters...lol. I do sell started pairs later in the season. Ahhhh, while I'm on "disclaimers" -- I also won't sell lavender without splits yet. Although my Lavender Project Orpingtons look more "orpy" than most, they're still a work in progress. The splits are from my lavs & an English import line to add more size & refine the shape. The chicks from the lav + split mating will be finally be Orpingtons, not projects. I see way too many "pure lavender orpington" eggs from birds that look more like Marans. When I got mine from Jody, she said she wanted to sell them to people who would finish them. So that's exactly what I'm doing.

up to 8. Another silky, ee and what is either a blue orp or the silky I can't tell. It is gray and one is blak so I can't tell which is which.

Go silkies!!! I have 10 going into lockdown a week from today. Only got one from the last hatch and she is lonely. She has taken over!!!

On a crabby note--ITS SNOWING!!!! AAARRRGGGHHHH!!! Just got rid of most of it and another 6-12 is expected today. I grew up on the tug hill plateau and am used to lots of snow but this has gone beyond even my tolerance!!!
