Careful Lynzi , watch out for that more hens disease
Oh. My. God. That dog was back again today. Luckily I had decided to let the guineas out for the first time today and they went off when they saw the dog. I was in the yard, thank goodness, and I caught him just before he grabbed Lemon, my broody red six link who has chicks. I screamed at the top of my lungs, "If you touch that bird!!!" and he ran away from her. I grabbed him and got my hand on his collar and was about to take him on a fabulous, all-expense paid one way trip to the vet when his owner walked down into my yard calling for him. Guess she heard me yell. I looked her dead in the eye and said, "You better tie up your dog. If he keeps killing chickens he's going to get shot."
She apparently didn't think I was talking about myself, and she pointed over to where my neighbors live and said, "Oh yeah those guys? They've threatened him before." In this flippant, eye rolling way. So now I know he's been killing their chickens too! She then said, "Yeah we've been watching him, but I guess [the person who was supposed to be watching him, I wasn't paying attention, I was flabbergasted at this point] wasn't watching him good enough." In the same flippant way. Then they said they were "working on a shock collar." What? What does that even mean? Go to Walmart and buy a tie out for like ten dollars, how hard is that!? Then she took him home. I was so mad she showed up. If she hadn't doggy was gone. Anyway, I guess I'm calling the police now. Apparently they really just don't care. Either that or I'll bait a trap near the property border and catch him and give him that trip to the vet. Or if anyone else has any ideas how to get rid of him without a gun since I don't have one, I'm open to suggestions. I am DONE with those people and their dog.
If that wasn't enough, while I was out finishing the hoop coop, a hawk did a fly by. Didn't see me until the guineas alerted again and I stood up. Scared the crap out of it and it kept on flying. I screamed "you better keep going" after it and chased it until it was out of sight.
Jeez, my day today.
I was leery of getting Guineas but my neighbor down the road has some poults or what ever they're called so I may be getting some. I hear they make good watch dogs.Well first off the guineas are doing a good job. Second at this point this neighbor is not doing what she is suppose to be doing. You and your other neighbor can make her either get a fence or tie out or the police and or animal control will be called. If you do call the police if you don't have a tie out for your dog get one to show your being responsible as well. I wish I could tell you something that make everything all better for you. But like I said maybe you and your neighbor can do something together. My neighbor always ask if his dog bothers my chickens but he keeps his dog in his fenced area.
Lynzi can't wait to see her eggs are you going to use them for baking? I hear they are awesome for cakes and cookies.

No they are ads based on what you are looking at I see ads for colleges probably cause I am always in the college website correcting homework from my online class and Verizon wireless must be cause I just paid the bill LOL!So I wonder. I noticed the ad for Cardiology. Do we all see the same ads? I was just looking up symptoms of a heart attack and yes I am concerned. I've had pain on the left side for days but more to the rib area. After I ate, and I ate to much, I wasn't feeling so well. Better now though. Still I will call the doc tomorrow. I don't think it's my heart though.
again with the ads? Do we all see the same ads, or are we being targeted?
