NY chicken lover!!!!

Woohoo! First chick popped out at 7:15 this morning! My lone silkie is listening and chirping to it from her brooder box. Only 9 more to go! I have to go to work so I am hoping when I get home I will have more babies.

I'm going this morning to pick up my check from 2 weeks ago, might stay for a little bit to see how it goes. I always leave before it starts.

Pick it up, they can't mail it? I may suggest that if we bring an SASE perhaps they can mail it.

Last year they never mailed it and I had to go pick it up. Good Idea about the sase. If I bring some to the next auction, I'll do that.
I don't know how they would expect someone who comes at 7am to drop off sales items, woud stay until they are sold to get their money. THey charge eough commission, you'd think they could afford a 45 cent stamp....

I am thinking about checking out the schuylerville auction today if I have time. Not going to buy anything (I only have birds here that I hatched) but I'd like to see the layout for when I have things to sell.

King's auction sent me my check from the birds I dropped off, they did charge me $1 for the postage but it is still cheeper than me driving all the way down there. 30% commission but at least they are gone.

I had to go to Troy last night to fix my mom's computer. (Gotta love the elderly that take it on themselves to learn how to use a computer at age 70+) I didn't get home until after 6:30.

While I was gone my sweet, loveable, totally "what the he** do you want chickens for" SO (ray) cleaned out the back enclosed porch so there is room for a brooder when my chicks are ready and he is NOW (at 10 AM) out finishing the coop.

I love this man. Wish I had found him 35 years ago, before I married the man who fathered my children. Sigh.

I gotta go now, as soon as he is done walking on the floor I have to start caulking and painting. It's FINALLY warm enough to use caulk outside!!!
