We graduated in 2001. A lot of faces are familiar because we worked at mustangs.

Just let me know when you are ready - I can have my incubator set up in 2 minutes and ready to go in 24 - actually I have the one already set up so I don't even need time except to wipe it down for the new ones!

Oh dear Lord!!!! I just looked outside and it is SNOWING here! I went out fed the cows, piggies and chickens and it was a few light flurries and some rain showers. Got my coffee, got on the computer and it is really comiing down -NOOOOOOOO!

I got desperate last night and ordered some blue/red Cochins, 4 Silkie eggs and I think some Jersey Giant eggs.

I love the whole process of incubating to adulthood there is just something so awarding to it.

Let me know anytime tgrlily and thanks again!

Hi,

My sweet Doris is going broody. Last egg she laid she held on her feet while I looked in the nest for it. When I lifted her up, out it rolled!

Funny bird!

My question is - would it be worth while to get some fertile eggs for her to sit, or is it way too early. Haven't had birds for quite a year yet, so I have lots to learn. Any help you can give is appreciated.

Happy Country Hens

PS: Welcome to BYC Sarah!

They are 5 weeks old. We think we have 3 girls and 3 roos.

Hope the snow stops soon.

Tab's chicken obsession :

I got myfirst buff brahma bantam egg of the year today! Of course I have a week to go on what's in my bator now and wasn't planning on running again until May, figures.

Congratulations!

Chickens do have awful timing sometimes, don't they?
