Morning all! Frosty last night but only a skim on the outside waterers this morning. My nose tells me its time to add more litter to the big coop, Had to move the stuff under the roost to the front so it will hopefully dry some today. The air has been so damp down here that its hard to get the usual dryout in the coops. The little coops tend to dry out faster as they are little! Bill, my rir roo, got all nervous when I went in the coop with the rake to move stuff around. He was making his buk buk, running back and forth, thinking I was going to corner him and pick him up. I didnt, just told him to leave, which he did hastily. Of course the usual nosy girls were underfoot as I was raking the litter around. I swear sometimes they are deliberately trying to trip me up so I fall down. Chickens are always scheming. Legolas group practically ran out the door into their big pen this morning. Eowyn is broody so she had to run out and do a big nasty broody poop. I am sure the rest of her group is thankful she did it outside and not in the smaller run. Broody poop is just so nasty to smell in the morning!
Miquwid--congrats on the chick! Heres hoping the rest pip and zip right along.
Stony--I am going to have to come up with one you cant possibly match!
Lap--I saw that one. Stupidist thing I ever saw.
Almost forgot to mention that the coyotes were having a party last night across the road up where an empty house sits on a nice piece of property. They were whooping it up pretty good so I am not sure if they were running prey or just having a bark along. As long as they stay away from here, they wont be fur lining on the roosts. Dh has his gun and his red light right next to the dining room window, just in case. Of course, I can always use it if he isnt here. I have popped a lot of squirrels with a 22 from my windows!
Everyone have a good day. Im off to the pharm.
