that is a big cat. In typical cat fashion it found it just had to walk along a fallen tree on the ground rather than walk by it. Guess wild cats and domestic cats are pretty similar. Looking at the pics on the net and talking to a good friend who traps this is either a 35 lb bobcat or a large fisher. Big male kitty either way

Rancher my girls don't leave any meat on the bones to attract varmints lol. I give it in the morning and by roosting time I pick up the bones I find and toss them in the compost. They are cleaner than when I cook and clean a turkey or chicken

The only varmin I have is mice. I sometimes see him in the compost pile but it's not because of the bones. He is near there every year. I'm sure it more the stuff in the compost they like.

If there is one mices there are more and they carry disease. My advice it to stick some dynamite in that compost and destroy him.
