I've got my tree up - but no cards out - I'm a big one for cards - so family and friends far away are probably worried about me

I was really disappointed (mostly in myself) that I didn't know how - have the time - or pay someone - to make my cow hide into a rug; but it was part of the on-farm butchering fee and they refused to quote me a fee without the hide included. Since I had no idea what to do with it - I didn't do any further homework. I still regret that now.

Would love a big cat rug ... get a few, stitch together and have the warmest bedspread EVER ....

If big cats and wolves and coy-wov crosses start coming down - I'm going to have to get a LGD to be outside full time to protect the horses. I just hate my one neighbors because I know they will not respect what a LGD is and if they get a bite - I know they will sue for all their little white-trash hearts are worth. They are the only reason I don't have one now. Sheesh it burns me that they get assistance money from my taxes. They are what is wrong with the whole system. (not the ones that really use it right) ARGH !!!!

No, I called to have the deer picked up and they came and got it 10 mins later. Plus the coat on this is too furry to be a deer. Drove by it again this morning on my way to bringing my son to school, looks like a coyote or fox.

Well woke up to furnace not working yet again. Looks like space heaters for while.

Well I had to put plexi glass back up over the window and put a board partway covering the bottom hole I put in. Too much snow in the coop for my taste today.

YES ! that is gorgeous dog ! and I like the coloring as I don't like all white dogs - so this one would be perfect.

Maybe we can get pups together ! ha ha

I don't mind having a system ! I would have used it myself years ago and know some great people using it now - but the point is, if you are going to use it - help the community that is helping you or at least don't hassles others and try to profit off them. Blah on them. Anyhow, of course there is more to their story than just that ! They are icky people, but the rest of the area families are great - so I should just shut up. It is just that I really want a full time outside dog - and I can't just because of that one neighbor.

Snowing and really cold here today! I feel like this day is just dragging on and on. I must have gotten ready this morning much earlier that usual. Keeping my fingers crossed that something has been going on inside those eggs I'm incubating! I'm going to take a look at them tomorrow since I've always been able to candle at day 4 and seen veins by that point. It's the silkie eggs I really care about, the other extras were put in there just in case I had only 1 silkie egg hatch. Anything that hatches from the Orp eggs will be up for grabs.

Now now, we can't always know all the details of a situation. I'm old and you'd be surprised the things I've seen. I'm sure there are folks who don't like all our choices either. Not to mention family I know who complain about others while they themselves are cheating the system in some way.

Some businesses take cash cuz they can hide that income. Which is why I don't pay cash in situations like that. Had a fencing company offer to scam our homeowners on some fence damage. They did not get the job. It is what it is.

Some folks don't work cuz no one in their right mind would hire them.

Now you be careful with those space heaters and get that furnace fixed. You can probably get an interest free and deferred payment like we did if you need a new furnace.

We never claim any exemptions on our taxes during the year so we get a large sum at the end of the year. We had the furnace installed and then when our tax refund came we paid off the furnace.

I know there are those who say we gave the government an interest free loan, but we're not the type to save that kind of money. When you have kids it's always something. One year we put a new roof on the house.

Plus I say better to get a refund than to owe the IRS.
