My "reset" button is labeled "RESET". (Caps their's not mine) With a combination of "reset" and "info" button I can turn off anything on my dash board that lights up. (Some lights should be reset by mechanic tho, cuz there is a problem that needs to be taken care of, not just hitting a button)

I'll have to have a look. Her info button is on the steering wheel, is that where yours is?

She's got all the gizmos but I doubt she know how to set the cruise control. Me I forget it's there we're so used to not having it. The last time I used it was when I went to PA to pick up Orpingtons from Jody.

Evening all. Just finished shoveling again all the snow we got all day. Cheeps never stepped foot out of the coop. Only 4 eggs again today. Hope this breaks soon. It was a productive day. DD helped me finish cutting up the hind quarter of the doe. I have some nice meat in the freezer, canned 5 quarts of venison stew meat and have a bag of jerky seasoning in the fridge that will go in the dehydrator tomorrow. Wrapped up gifts and got them under the tree, planned out christmas dinner and dd has a list of cookies she wants to make. Life is good. Cooked up a bunch of scrap venison for the cheeps and got that put away. Almost forgot, I made bread too (well, just threw everything in the machine and hit the button).

Oh...the ups man made it and I got my new muck boots! I love them! They are the jobber ones that come up around your ankles and I wore them out to go shovel. So warm and comfy. They fit nice around my fat ankles too. Guess I wont be needing any more boots! Love love love them!

Tab--I will have to mark that date on my calendar and make sure I have off. Its a 3 hour trip for me to rome but I am hoping to make it.

Rancher--the reset button is usually one you have to push after your tires have been rotated, filled with air or new tires put on. Mine is inside the glove box so I have to open it to hit the button to reset the tire light.

Okay...back to finishing my last gift. I have to stop coming up with these last minute ideas. Im killing me!

Walked out to the edge of the woods last night and saw two doe in the woods. I rarely see deer. This years been strange for wild life what with the turkeys' I saw earlier this fall.

I'll have to check her glove box for that button. She does have to go back to have the lugs checked.

Wondering? We have a covered run and the coop. We do not let the chickens
out Winter. What are they able to do in the snow? Just walk around? We have dirt and stones in our covered run and they can dig etc. And we worry about predetors..we lost
many of our Silkies to them. Guess we are over protective.

If you take the time to staple some plastic up they can go out and get some fresh air. It also reduces waste in the coop.

Mine like to climb on the hay bales and scratch around in the straw. Keeps them busy. Though I do lock them up at night of course.









I hang three blue tarps across the back and clear plastic on the front and side. Keeps the hay dry and the straw on the floor keeps their tootsies from freezing. Though the birds without a run don't seem to mind and actually lay better. Perhaps it's the fresh air.

Rancher, Thanks for all the good suggestions. Our run is opened on one side for fresh air. Covered on top and sides. They have dirt and stones to dig. Like the straw idea. Thanks again. Aria

Amy, you are such a SUPER story teller. Enjoy reading all the posts. Thought that
would be ok to introduce ourselves. More should post their photos. YES? I feel much different with my shorter hair. Looking forward to it growing.

I have two pairs of muck boots as I mentioned in an erlier post. I have been wearing them
since 2005. They are wonderful and last and last. My friend in Albany introduced me to

Rancher, We have one doe. Appears to be last year's that walks from our Apple Orchard across our front yard and into our woods every day. There are always deer tracks and one morning this week I saw her on her travels. Lovely site. Aria

Well i opened up the coop then the run, everyone stayed in the run to at least eat n drink and lay eggs, otherwise they still stay in the coop. I threw some food outside and they went out to eat it. I did shovel a path for them bit as soon as they were done eating back on they went in. One tried to fly over the snow and landed in the unshoveled part lol she was a bit shocked so i picked her up out of the foot deep snow. Gotta love the cheeps and their antics. My zombie girl is great she pretty much cleaned her bloody mess up herself, i just made sure she had the space she needed and the some extra treats. putting her in that crate was like putting a cat in bath tub lol blood spattered everywhere but the dogs were right there to lick it up. Anywho she seems far happier outside.

Lil cheeps gettin big. Looks like 2 males n 5 females we shall see. I think im going to start collecting legjorn eggs for hatching and an equal amount of hybrids. About 6 n 6. But hopefully before i will get muscovy eggs to hatch.

Bought some BOSS they went nuts lol. Even with the light egg production is down oh well. My neighbor plowed my driveway, he says i saved his "butt" when i gave him a jump before work awhile back. He tried to pay n i refused so he is plowing for. So I've been giving him eggs!

Sorry to disappear about the reset button. Mine too is in the glove box, upper left front corner. I had never heard of such a button to be pushed after changing tires. The service guy said that the light can come on even if you just skid because it is measuring rotation, not air pressure...the things there are in the world to learn.

Better Safe than sorry .Mine only range outside for about 4 hours now ...more in the summer 6- 9 hours then .
They come in them selves for bed ..If I want them in earlier ..they will come back in with a treat

If you shovel for them they might come out ..Mine will come out & eat the grass where I have shoveled .
they also go under my deck & dust bath . It depends on if is a warm sunny day ..
They will do more on those days . they will follow the paths I have shoveled & explore .
We do have some Predators - foxes & hawks . As I have 4 Roos they are good look outs .
Have only seen hawks recently . I only let out to free range when someone is home ..
So if I hear them making a racket ...I am out there . they told me the neighbors dog was in my garden ..eating turkey bones .
