what kind did you order? i want to order a different kind but cant make up my mind of what kind or where to order from. was thinking about getting some pomerian saddle backs. but they lay less than 40 eggs a year, but they are so so pretty.

Where did you get your eggs? Are you going to get more? If not where did you get them and how many are selling porcelain hatching eggs? I know Trish will go in halvsies with me. I got dibs on Trish.

She and I will hatch anything the other wants.

Good thing they don't have dinosaur eggs or E. Syracuse would be in trouble.

Her birds (two) didn't do well at this show either. Course she was involved in the show so maybe she didn't bring her best. That wouldn't have looked good to some I guess. There was a porcelain at the show and it did thake RB but it was only one of two in the AOV catagory. I think they should try to have at least five in each. but then that just mo.

Oh boy..you ain't kidding! LOL I really, really want some colorful silkies...Renee has some but she ain't selling LOL!! I can't say as I blame her-hard as she works on her breeding program, but Renee...precious, darling, sweetheart *flutters eyes*...who-other than you, is a good breeder to buy from?!! HELP! Listen to me....I don't even have a coop for the buggers yet! I did however, finally decide on my design and since Mark finally...did our taxes..will use the refund for that! LOL I think I will have my dad build the silkie coop, Mark has other things to do...a pond for the ducks for one! Gotta get help somewhere.

I'm working on the whole porcelain thing..... no worries. I will contact the breeder I got them from & see if she's willing to give me a break on another batch... you never know. I've been emailing breeders to see if they're willing to sell... no luck so far, but I'll keep trying.

I'm not selling Paints till they're giving me babies. I went on a pilgrimage for the cute little buggers! The Cuckoos --- who knows? I'm not even sure I'll like them.

But I had an opportunity to get them & I took it. Keep you posted on them.

I have call duck eggs coming & just ordered Peacock eggs!!!!! Yeah.... if I didn't think I was nuts before I've now confirmed it. Ducks????? I have a swimming pool for Pete's sake!

Rancher: I still need to get you the address for that Dan Prather that specializes in Marans - I can't find his business card on my stinking desk and I put it aside just to hold it for some more of his gorgeous eggs!

Meagan: You and I need to decide on a time to get together to get those other girls you're still holding for me if you still have them. If not, I understand....remember when we met at the school in the middle of nowhere with that stinkin snow BLOWING and swirling around us???? Now if that doesn't mean we're chicken crazy nothing does!

Started raining here pretty good which just stinks but at least everything is good. Had the best laughs today - we dug up worms while raking leaves and debris and took a bunch down to the newer babies - FUUNNNNNYYY! the baby Silkies had worms that were longer than they were taller and all the bigger ones would take a bite or a piece and by the time the Silkies would eat them there was probably a smidge of a worm left. the others went crazy over them of course and it was adorable to watch! My poor little cuckoo maran finally got one in the upstairs pen - the pumpkin hulsey and some of the others figured it out faster when we brought them worms.

I had the one Silver Appleyard that hatched that I let someone buying Silkies from me talked me into letting her buy - dang it! So if anyone has any ducks that they might want to sell I may be very interested.

I am going to have so sneek my Murray McMurray breeds of fifty chicks under my hubby's nose the first week of May. I was going to get them sooner but the 75 eggs in the incubator are due to hatch the week before. I will be gone to heaven help the hubby and child - I've already warned them to be careful with the hatchlings, temps and humidity!!!

We were down in the basement today looking at the babies and I had to admit to hubby that the seven extra little silkies were NOT there a week ago when he looked last. He sighed looked at me and said he didn't think he remembered that color.

I am soooo glad he loves me and has a slight chicken addiction!

Still have to check the chicken ordinances in NC.....
