NY chicken lover!!!!

I'm new to BYC, great to see so many NY chicken lovers. I live in Penn Yan, NY (Keuka Lake/Finger Lakes Region).
This is only my second year having chickens. This winter was so awful, the snow drifts this winter were a beast running from 3 to 4 feet high.
I decided to move my existing coop and am going to add onto it. I'm planning to add a run as well.
Howdy! We are in Benton. There's another poster here, I can't remember her name, also from Benton.

BTW...

We have three silkie roosters in need of a good home. Maybe just two...I can't decide, lol. One is a light blue, the other two are silver partridge.

Free!

I just need a good home for them within the next 3-4 weeks so that my grow out pen in the coop is available for the chicks that just hatched this weekend.

If you're interested, give me a call!

Thanks and hello everybody!! My Runnings said if I bought six this time that next weeks order I could get 4 more since they had little to nothing left when I got there!

Yeah my tsc not the best place to buy chicks it has like no variaties at all! They only have had ducks and silkies for the past week and a half! But I really love Runnings it has great selection with a shipment a week of all new but unfortunately They sell out within a day! When I talked to a worker she said they sold 300 there first day

Nobody was buying chicks at our TSC at first because of the cold, they had them.marked down half price. Their selling them now. It would probably help their sales if they knew what their pullets and ducks were? I heard some TSC in other states have something called 'Asian Blues' ours don't have any names on them but I'm guessing redsexlink and khaki campbell ducks. I can understand not knowing what the bantams are, but I did, picked out six silkies :)
Stopped today for dog food and it looks like all their bantams are all silkies now and no ducks.

Yeah, none of my local ones, and I have three, have gotten anything in for bantams except silkies. I just want some little d'uccles or cochins or OEGBs or something, but nothing. They also can't tell you what breed anything is. And all the ducks so far have been khaki campbells except one shipment of pekins.

I got a whole bunch of Silver Sebrights last year from one of our local TSC. Hatched 4 Silkie/Sebright cross this past weekend. All have the extra toe, and I think they may have the top knot, too. All have the rooster's coloring (the rooster was the silkie).

My tsc has the breeds for the layers (if they have them) but almost always there strait runs, in of which I stay away from. There really losing there sales this year with the Runnings right down the road from my local tsc!
