NY chicken lover!!!!

I've decided to attend Chickenstock and will bring the following:

Marans started chicks & eggs
Coronation chicks & eggs-chicks ranging from 2 months to week old.
Possible white Sebastapol goslings if I still have any
Light Sussex chicks & eggs
Maybe some Brabanter eggs and a chick or 2.

If anyone wants to reserve something, pm me.

But I can't figure out these bald chicks. And btw, googling bald chicks...don't recommend it!
Thanks for the warning !
cockerels do feather later ...
They need protein for feathers ...Are they getting enough Protein ? can you add more ?
Or do they have Mites ?

<- Some Breeds are more prone to it

< - May be missing in methionine.
High levels of methionine can be found in eggs, sesame seeds, Brazil nuts, fish, meats and some other plant seeds; methionine is also found in cereal grains. Most fruits and vegetables contain very little of it. Most legumes are also low in methionine. However, it is the combination of methionine + cystine which is considered for completeness of a protein.[citation needed] Racemic methionine is sometimes added as an ingredient to pet foods.[15]

I don't remember who it was but someone had silver Phoenix. I bought 6 chicks but we had a hawk in the weeks following chickenstock and most of my chicks and some of my other birds became hawk food. We have since moved and have a better setup. Was wondering if there are any silver Phoenix Roos available my son has been trying to find one for a couple years. I can't make it to chicken stock but hoping there will be other options. I'm looking into buying one from AZ (I think or AK) but was wondering about local options first. Thank you! :)

Roosters went to freezer camp today.

I have a hen with sour crop. Been working on her for a couple days. She acts like nothing is wrong except a big crop that isn't going away.

Out of the 18 chicks that hatched 3 wks ago one has a bad tendon and can only hop along on one leg and another has really bad cross beak. I can't bring myself to kill them.

We've been really busy trying to get a raised bed garden built this spring. DH finished and set it last night. Now I have to find dirt to fill it. Anyone know any local to Centeal Square or surrounding?

My daughters rabbit had 10 bunnies. One died but the rest are healthy and growing quickly.

We had a chick in this last hatch with a slipped tendon. I worked on him for a good week and a half. But finally, I had to throw the towel in when the jointed started to swell and he seemed to be in a lot of pain.

We created a mini gas chamber and gassed him. It was awful, but nowhere near as bad as the other methods of culling a chick.
