up here near Albany, last year was WAY hotter than this year.....

My biggest problem is that I seem to blink and miss spring...it feels like it goes directly from snowy/icy/cold weather that is hard to get out and work in ...to hot/biting flies/gnats/mosquitoes weather that is hard to get out and work in.

Rose of Sharon work very well and give a nice filtered shade. Their blooms are awesome. They are a Hibiscus that grows well in cooler climates, so the blossoms have a tropical feel to them.

Seems like that happens more and more with every passing year. Spring and fall are my favorite seasons and they are here and gone in an instant. That is, if we even get them in the first place.

so true!!

really hot today, but at least there's some breeze. I have the sprinkler going and everyone's had some watermelon. Managed to install another automatic door on our funky green treehouse coop- it's rather an ugly and unorthodox setup but it works! (well, we shall see if I set the timer correctly before celebrating).

Other than that.. trying to stay cool!

thanks! They really are nice and a very thick/heavy glass. No tipping over etc. And they clean up beautifully in a dishwasher machine. I just bought the ball jars for them and and they worked great.

Those are very pretty!! I use only nipple waterers, even on new chicks, but if I didn't I'd grab one of those!
