Chicken girl 15
Songster
Huge hot day hit for the flock? Black raspberry ice pops. Homemade of course. My bushes produced loads of berries. So after making jelly I froze a ton in ice trays. Happy girls they are.

The girls have access to oyster shell 24/7 so I think she just needs to eat it and wait for her system to correct. She's still young.
Karl rides a bike and his yard is over grown and wooded. I don't see him enough. I'm going to try to catch the mailman and see if he's getting his mail. I dropped off a mailbox post my sister gave me long ago and he did put it in.It got hot out! I was vexed working on booties so I decided to run into town and grab a few things. Sun is hot! Let little big man out with his girls before I left. They are enjoying the day. Cane back and fixed the booties. Sometimes you just have to put things aside for a bit and then the answer will come to you wheen you go back too it.
I hate spellcheck. Rancher...I'll bet your friend is allergic to something in Comercial feed. We had a hermit neighbor when I was young. He lived down the road a bit from our farm. My father stopped to check on him from time to time. Found him passed away one day. Had been there a couple of days before my father found him. Sad.
Well, back to my projects again. Later all.
I disagree with Rancher ..
A three month old chicken should not be eating oyster shell at all ...
They should not be given that until about 5 months or when they start laying .
That is why she is laying early ...the oyster shell is forcing her to
Her reproductive system needs a few more months to grow..
I had a chicken that laid at 4 1/2 months that got a prolasped vent ..I was able to help her get it back in
she did lay after that...But she always had a goofy butt ..
she is also the chicken that died early from being egg bound ...her sister is still alive
A young chicken that lays before she is fully developed will probably have problems .
Do you have older chickens too that need extra calcuim ?
she should be on starter , grower , or finisher ...
I realize that. I but we are all from ny, lets support each other.Lisa523...I'm sorry you felt ignored about your question. I did read your post and had nothing to offer you in terms of advice because I really don't know what is wrong with your sick bird.
