Anyone interested in a couple French Black copper marans cockerals? They are only a week old and I am pretty sure they are male. One is from Bev Davis lines and the other is Wade Jean/Ron Presley lines. The eggs came from onthespot. PM me if interested.

PeepsInc - What is that cute chick in the first pic?

I found some eggs to hatch - Blue Plymouth Rocks. They should be arriving on Friday. Anyone else starting a hatch?

I'm beginning to really like blue chicks and hens. I already have blue Marans and blue Ameraucanas, getting lavenders (they have a blue gene) Maybe be I should have an all blue farm. I already have a blue farm house, blue barn, blue garage, and blue coops.

I love my Brinsea, only 2 didn't hatch, and I lost power for 6 hours. I think I need another one. Or I should get a hatcher, because the my biggest problem is the lack of room when half the eggs are hatched. Any suggestions?

I just won some bc maran eggs that should be here by Friday. I really would have liked blue copper maran eggs, but that will have to wait for next time.
I don't know whether I want to build another incubator or stick the bcm eggs in with the eggs from 3/5..........how does everyone feel about a staggered hatch?

Nothing going on under the broody yet, she got up for a drink this morning so I got to take a peek. Were on day 20 so I am not too worried yet. I got a nice surprise this morning, my mallard is laying again!

I got the prettiest blue/green egg! If you want any let me know, she should be laying one a day for a while. I'm debating on whether to let her make a nest and set. If I do the ducklings would hatch in April I think and it should be warm enough by then.

I love the blue plymouth rocks, so pretty! Hope you have a great hatch with these as well! You have to think of a good name with blue in it for sure for your place!

How many eggs does the brinsea hold? I guess it would depend on how many eggs you want to hatch at a time, whether you would want to get another incubator or just a hatcher.

it's not as hard as you think to download pictures lol
did you figure out how far apart we live? My Birthday is in May too
