NY chicken lover!!!!

Just an FYI...I bought some BCM pullets from somebody in Canandaigua and they were not great quality at all. One hen is solid black, no coppering at all. She lays a very poor quality egg. Her sister is decent, lays a decent egg, but carries the gene for yellow feet/shanks. Not sure where you were thinking of getting them.

I would really like to get some better quality BCM birds.

Chicken Stock is too far away, my husband would never go for it, lol. But those of you in Watkins, Montour Falls, Penn Yan, and surrounding areas....I'd love to buy chicks, eggs, or trade, whatever.

Who was it that had the Lavender Americaunas?

I only have one Lavender Ameraucana right now. If I find more I'll let you know.

Sweetpea, I found someone in Churchville who has BCMs. There was a guy named Steve, I think, who used to have Americauna or Araucana in blue or Lavender, but his website is no longer available- it was Inside Yolk...anyone know him? I got Welsummers & Wyandottes from him, my first chicks ever about 5 years again.

I'd be interested in the quality of the BCM birds in Churchville. Did they say who's line they are from?

Primarily, I'd really like to add a couple of LF Cochins and Light Brahmas. There's a hatchery in Clifton I could get them from but.....they are hatchery birds, kwim. I guess it doesn't really matter much....I'm not being for show or anything. Not right now anyways.

I found her. The person w lavender Americanas is @lcvedder but she hasn't been on in a while. A pm might get her attention. Sounds like she has some really nice birds. She's in my neck of the woods. IMHO it's well worth a couple hour drive for good hatching eggs. But I don't mind road trips, so grain of salt.

I've also been thinking of what to hatch, if I can find them. I'll get some Wheaton Ameraucanas eggs from @ke5hde Get some of @pharmchickrnmom heritage RIR eggs if she has them at Chickenstock. BBS and Lav Orps from @ag29ande
I'm really looking for Gold Laced Wyandottes. Not hatchery birds and don't need show birds. Seems all I can find are Blue Laced Red or hatchery. I'm in Cortland county, but willing to travel a bit or even try shipped eggs later in the spring.

PhoredaBurds is in your list of places . She will be coming in may. Maybe you could set up with her to be your access to chickenstock.
