NY chicken lover!!!!

I did read that whole thread too, and I do know Harpursville. Well, I know of Harpursville, I don't think I've ever done anything but drive through the area. I love the ideal of chickenstock....but I didn't want to be rude and invite myself, especially since I hadn't even said hello to anyone yet. Id absolutely love to come...I just have to wait for baseball/softball/lacrosse schedules before I can commit.
perfect. Go say hello, it's my thread as chickenstock is at my place this year. We don't bite but we do encourage chicken ownership. This thread and that have a lit of the same members.

So my husband has a very promising interview for an attorney position in Troy NY next Friday. Do any of you live close in that area around Albany? I'm not sure if we would rent or buy a house because we would have to sell our home. But I'd hope I could find someone to care for my chickens if I do move somewhere where they aren't allowed briefly until we find a home. I would of course pay for their care. Exciting yet nerve wracking!

Congrats on the opportunity! Hope the interview goes well! If u need to go up there on a reconnaissence trip and need at "chicken person" to stop by ur house a couple days, LMK. I think I'm fairly close & may be able to help out.

Hello everyone, long time BYC reader, infrequent poster.
I just realized there was a NY thread, and some of you are fairly local to me (Binghamton area). I thought I should introduce myself. We've got a nice little backyard flock - 17 hens, and 2 roosters that will soon make a nice meal for a local family. I'm fairly new to chickens, we got our first chicks about a year ago. It nice to meet you all. I've enjoyed reading through parts of your thread, I'm sorry for the event losses.
Welcome to the thread! I used to read a lot also- I fell in love with the coop building section and stumbled into this room!

It was same with my laptop rancher, and I see you have the same typing probs, I would spend just as much time fixing posts as writing them. I watch Netflix on our computer no probs, on other sites, political commentary/news, no probs there just BYC. We have Google chrome, regular Google, Firefox, and Bing which I think is MSN (Microsoft?) Everyone prefers there own here at our house. I like Bing cause there is a new cool 'wallpaper' picture with all sorts of info on it, every day something new.
As suggested I downloaded adblocker on Firefox, free and only took two seconds, BYC works great now and all other websites are faster. You can easily turn the adblocker on or off, little 'stop sign' top right corner of our computer next to where history button and bookmarks are, just enable or disable. Hmm, I see Mozilla Firefox uses Bing also, not the same Bing on msn, no cool pic. ?

I had ordered a special ornamental layer collection of females. I received a bunch of brown chipmunk looking chicks.

So, what breeds are chipmunk striped besides:

Easter Eggers
Crested Creme Legbars
Bielefielders

...What else could be considered ornamental?
