NY chicken lover!!!!

I HAVE 12 FUZZIES! !! YAY!!! They are all relaxing after stuffing themselves on starter and water. All flopped over on each other, well sort of. @PhoredaBurds your boys make the cutest little mixes. The leghorn babies are all speckled with black and/or gold. Tomorrow I will take pictures to post. The BA babies are stout already and the reds are super neat looking.

@Susieq2015 thank you so much. My daughter just about busted my eardrums she was so excited. She has already decided the fan victim is hers. Its official, I need more brooder space. I want more chicks. They are too cute.

You're very welcome, glad to help! i mean c'mon who doesnt love hatching. Wait until you get an incubator, you'll be hooked:)

I'm west of Binghamton, so we are about an hour apart.

A teacher at the elementary school (small town) had 200 chickens a few years ago and she pretty much supplied the whole town and got them all hooked on fresh eggs. She had a fox problem, and with growing kids she didn't really have time anymore so she got rid of the birds. People are so excited about eggs! But she had 10X the chickens I do!

Until a few years ago you could even get fresh eggs at the corner store.

It's a good town for selling eggs.
what town? We go to Binghamton every week. I could meet you and drop them off. I have a few more eggs than we can eat and not enough customers.

Awww. Exciting! !!

Our barn is 24×24 so I have space I just have to separate into grow out areas and brooding areas. There is currently only one area. The 8×16 area for the big kids. The babies are tucked safely in a corner of the big coop in the dog cage . I figure if they could see each other from the start it would be better come integration time.
