I have the same incubator. I usualy put a few on top to rotate in if there is any duds on bottom. I stand the eggs up in the little wire holders and stuff a little wax paper in the end to keep them upright. The ones on top are postioned, laying down on top of the wax paper wads. If they are small eggs I sandwich (between the egg and top of 'bator) a little wad of wax paper on top of the "extra" eggs so they down slide/move around. I have't lost one yet being on top. Once I candle and toss any clears or duds I fill the gaps with the extras.....so far it has worked out perfectly......knock on wood.
Wax paper wads - got it. That's what I will do.
Another question: Do you hatch them in the
Brinsea. My first hatch I took the chicks out when they were dry. The second time I waited for more than a day. 12 had hatched and it seemed really crowded. Both times there were 22 and 24 eggs at lockdown. How do you time moving them? I know the humidity stayed in the range better the second time around.

I checked USPS tracking online and it the Blue Plymouth eggs arrive Friday morning at the post office.
My DH went to get them and they said they didn't have anything. Of course they call him as he walks in the front door to ask him if he wants to pick up the package or have it delivered. Their way of saying they found it! They rested all day and I set them that night. Lucky me, he sent 32, but 2 were cracked. These eggs were jumbos - 2.4 oz!
I had to leave 1 divider out to fit 24 in the bottom. And the 6 on top aren't rolling. They can't as they just fit in. Most of my eggs are 1.7 to 2.0 oz, but they look tiny compare to these. On some I had to look twice for the small end.
These are going to be BIG chicks! I think I'm going to need a hatcher, unless they don't make it to lockdown! Craigslist here I come! Has anyone hatch Plymouth Rocks?
