You and susie Q gave me more eggs than i needed...I only wanted 6 each from you ..Gramma - if you like that shade of blue - I'll make sure to cut you a super deal next time to make up for the eggs I cracked and that didn't get to you.just super light blue.
if all my AB turn out hens I can trade you for a roo. I will need him for breeding. In fact if 3 turn out hen I can swap you for a roo.You and susie Q gave me more eggs than i needed...I only wanted 6 each from you ..
Lets see if I get any hens from them ..I might want more ..if I dont ..
Of my hatch this year ...I think I have 4 boys and one girl ...I hope it isnt true...![]()
How in the world do I candle Marans egg? Just keep them cooking until hatch day unless they start to smell?Well - if you can hang onto any roos you get from me - I'll be glad to take them back next chickenstock - OR if anyone is coming my way - they can ferry them along.
But Give them time - especially the AB's - the roos are VERY LATE bloomers - so you just can't tell until they really start to crow - it seems their hackle feathers don't come out until AFTER they crow !But they are all very sweet roos.
That's what I do. It's a relief actually. The only trouble I've had is when I adjust heat and humidity based on the air cell in a white egg it doesn't affect the dark brown egg the same way. The dark brown eggs tend to need less humidity. How in the world do I candle Marans egg? Just keep them cooking until hatch day unless they start to smell?
would it be advised to put the dark eggs in a separate incubator? That's what I do. It's a relief actually.
