The light one is surely an AB - that will come out white splashed with black There IS black in the genetics .... and it IS an approved color - so you could have a black ! I've not hatched one out - so can't say about that one.

Think I have 9 roos so far from tsc out of 12 chicks.
Do you have any idea of that roos breed?

I've been scoring the internet to find one that look like it. tsc has no idea.

I'd say - if you got it from TSC - it may be a mix of barred rock and rhode Island red - as that is what they use to create their sex linked layers - and this one just came out with some very cool but non-standard coloring ... that is a WILD guess as in - probably not even close ... ha ha

I was hoping I got something worth saving a rooster for but Oh well.
I did order 15 pullet chicks from Cackle hatchery a couple weeks ago so I'll just have to wait untill November for eggs

Well my teenagers started laying yesterday. From a cage with 1 layer I got 4 eggs. Woohoo 3 extra eggs a day means an extra dozen every 4 days.

They look like my chicks, I hatch mostly brown stripey, some black, some oddballs
