TSC in Oswego is not doing chick days again till the city ordinance is changed. They are not allowed to sell any less than 30 at a time. Yes I said 30. I think that is simply a ridiculous ordinance the city has.
 
So we got one cemani from GFF. It's the only chicken breed my hubby has ever really been interested in. Today the chick spent an hour cuddling in DH arms. It's our first chicken to be named. Say hello to Token.

Right now two have hatched. Got pip holes in the others but no progress in the past couple hours. They are prolly resting. The two that hatched are running around super active. Eating great and drinking a little. I will try to get pics but I'll be honest I don't know exactly which are the two from the eggs that I got from you. Haha.

That's a cool breed of chicken . Does your chick have the black mouth and tongue like the adults ?
 
Welcome to the newbies - always great to have fresh blood! Well - I'm done with this bitterly cold wind, sun is shining but my ears are about to drop off! I thought I was done with carting buckets of water for this year....
