NY chicken lover!!!!

Tonight my DD and I took a few chicks to a group home for disabled adults (ARC). A friend of mine is on staff there. Such a wonderful experience for all of us! From the blind man whose face lit up when I put the chick in his hand to the gentleman who is obsessed with chickens and rabbits and brought me his books to share. The lady who wanted her picture taken with a chick and her doll she had dressed in a bib that said "Cute Chick." You can find chicken lovers in the most surprising places!

thank you !! I say that from my heart. Im a mother of 2 disabled teens and the group homes are a wonderful thing, especially when people visit with such special treats as chicks. My kids all live at home but a dear friend of mine works in a home with 4 teen/young adult ladies. She loves visits from friends with safe animals, it makes her girls smile.

In good news, a hen hatched out a Birchen Marans chick today. She has another so I hope that one hatches too.  :clap
Good luck sleeping tonight! Congrats on the chick!
